American Express My WishList Holiday 2007
November 28th, 2007 . by SweepOK, so this isn’t a sweepstakes in the traditional sense, but it sort of is one anyway.
Every year American Express runs their My WishList Holiday program. They offer limited quantities of popular items and drastic discounts. The offers are on a first come first server basis and are offered at specific times throughout the day.
The deals are so good that winning one is similar to a sweepstakes win. Even if you don’t want the item you can generally sell it on ebay for much more than you paid. Some examples are:
- Rockband Video Game for $50 – retail $169.99
- BMW Motorcycle for $5,000 – retail $17,000
- 42″ plasma TV for $700 – retail $1,999
- Dell XPS notebook for $900 – retail $1,999
- HD Camcorder for $500 – retail $1,299
- Diamond Earings for $1,800 – retail $6,000
- Trip Around The World from Continental Air for $3,000 – retail $17,290
On the last day 12/13/2008 you get 3 chances to win brand new a brand new 2010 Mercedes GLK350 as well.
All you have to do is go to the site and be one of the first to click on the button at 12PM, 3PM and 7PM. Of course with thousands of people trying for each item it’s a little bit of luck of the draw to see if your request goes through.
It’s only open to American Express card holders. Unfortunately the site is in flash so you won’t be able to view it on your iPhone or other ‘net enabled phone which would be convenient if you’re not near a computer during the designated time for your item.
