The Secrets To The McDonald’s Monopoly Game

October 24th, 2007 . by Sweep

I’m sure that you’ve heard of the McDonald’s Monopoly game. This game has been going on for years and is an icon of the fast food industry. It seems fairly straight forward, but there is more than meets the eye to this game.

So as we all know you collect the game pieces and save them until you get 2 or 3 matching colors depending on the property group. The interesting part is how the odds are set. The game isn’t about how many pieces you collect and who has the luck to get the pieces from the same set. The game is really about finding one piece from each set.

You see McDonald’s controls the odds by only releasing a specific number of one piece from each color. The other pieces mean very little because they’re easy to find. There are millions of them. If you get one of the rare pieces then you’ve basically won. You still have to get the others to the set, but that’s easy.

Many people don’t play this game because the trouble of saving and collecting pieces is too much. The casual McDonald’s eater won’t bother saving his or her pieces. Well with the below list of rare pieces you can know if you’ve won without collecting pieces.

Color Prize Name #Of Pieces
  $1million Boardwalk 3
  $50,000 Pennsylvania Ave. 5
  $25,000 Ventnor Ave. 5
  $10,000 Kentucky Ave. 30
  $5,000 Tennessee Ave. 50
  $1,000 Virginia Ave. 250
  $500 Vermont Ave. 250
  $100 Short Line. 1,500
  $50 Mediterranean Ave. 15,000

What this means is that you shouldn’t bother going on e-bay and buying lots of pieces like this one or single, non-rare, pieces!

There are actually people selling the list that I’ve just published above on e-bay. This auction sells it here for $3.99. In case you were thinking of buying it now you don’t have to.

Enjoy and, as always, good luck!
